I finally have a version of JackenIAX that supports multiple lines. I have added so you can choose to output background music for the calls on hold. There’s a lot of testing, and I also have to rethink the user interface to be able to handle multiple calls. But i think it’s going to be cool.
You got to love the net. What ever you search for, you’ll find it. One of the best concert I even attended was the last concert with a Swedish punk band called Grisen Skriker (the pigs are screaming) back in 1979. And guess what, someone took pictures of the event. Naturally I did a vanity search of the pictures, but couldn’t find myself in the pictures. But I did find the lead singer of the band Ebba Grön, one of the ultimate Swedish punk bands. He probably learned a thing or two that night. It took me one hour just to make it from the door into the hall where they where playing. The band eventually took their clothes of, because the air conditioning broke down.
Here’s a quick tip for the Swedish government. Make something equal to LLC (Limited Liability Company). I promise to start paying more tax immediately.
Well, podcasts has become a staple diet for me lately. My car radio broke down a long time ago, and I can’t say that I miss it. But trough podcasts I’ve found Indie 103.1. They had an interview with some members of Devo, so they must be good. They are also on iTunes Radio (just 96kbit). Is it just me, or does podcasts where they removed music (for licensing reasons) resemble the emperor of vienna looking at ballet without music in the film Amadeus?
This video actually gives me goose bumps and tears in my eyes. It should preferably be viewed with headphones on max to fully enjoy it. Makes my attemt look a bit silly.

I had to go into Stockholm today. My car haven’t passed inspection, so I had to take the bus. On my way home I could hear that there was a problem with the bus. You could almost feel that the brakes where still breaking, or something serious with the gearbox. I first thought that I should go tell the driver, but I was in the middle of an audio book, and besides, Isn’t this stuff he should know? Anyway, I knew that the bus wouldn’t make it. And sure enough, the wheel below my chair started to give of a smell of burnt clutch. So I go up to the driver and asked him if he knew that the brakes on the back wheels are locked up? He just looked stupidly at me, so I just went back to my seat. When I passed a couple of nervous looking passengers, they asked me what was wrong. So I told them that I thought that the back brakes has been locked up since we started. But here comes the mistake. I also mentioned that they probably will start to burn in a while. A second after I said that, smoke started to fill the bus. STAMPEDE! Everyone was running for the exits.
When I finally got off the bus, all the ladies had to have a post traumatic discussion with the guy who knew what was about to happen. And all I wanted was to listen to Stephen Kings new audiobook. To make the story even more weird, the bus driver took off running! Don’t ask me where. Probably somewhere to start a beautiful new career doing something else.
Every time I answer the phone (yes, I’m using JackenIAX), I have to pause iTunes before answering. So today I added an option so when you answer or dial, iTunes pauses automatically. It will be in the next release (within a couple of days) I had to rewrite a large section of code for some other features that I have planned. I’m getting a bit more comfortable with Cocoa programming, and discovers old code full of brain farts. And the code is getting smaller with more features. A step in the right direction…
I just put up a new version of JackenIAX. Added Applescript support, URL dialing (currently only via Applescript), DTMF tones when dialing etc.
