While searching around for sites made with Ruby on Rails I came across a site called 25peeps.com. So I put up an ugly picture of me, and then forgot about it. But now I’m listed on the front page. So to keep me there, remember to click on this link. Let’s keep the world ugly!
Many years ago I had a great record on vinyl. Naturally I lost it, probably when moving. But a couple of years ago I went to see a friend perform at a night club, and after the consert the DJ played my favorite track from that album. So I ran up to him and asked for the name of the group, and he told me. But being drunk I had forgot the name. So intensive Googling ensued. But to no avail, I couldn’t find the band. I felt like Al Bundy singing “Hhh haa huuumm!” to every one that wanted to listen.
But today I finally did it. After listing trough some postings on usenet, I came across a band name that sounded familiar. It was the band. Yay!
The song? “I want to help you Ann” by the Lyres.
Yes, it’s true. I gave my wife a knuckle sandwich.
The last couple of years when my workload get a bit out of hand, and when there’s a lot of stress, I have problem sleeping. And a couple of times when I finally got to sleep, I have dreamt about fighting, and actually punched the wall in my sleep. But this time it was no wall, it was my wife who got a fist on her cheek. She thought it was our daughter who kicked her in the face, so she turned over and try to continue to sleep. So much for my deadly fists of steel.
How do you beg for forgiveness for stuff you do in your sleep? She’s laughing about it, and teasing me. She’s never been punched in the face before, and it’s her husband that gives her the first one. I’m so proud…
I finally completed a new version of JackenIAX. It now has up to four lines support. I also added a searchable call log. Lot’s of other small improvements as well.
During World War II the Swedish government allowed German troups to pass through Sweden to Finland, just to stay out of trouble. And maybe to be able to continue to supply Germany with Swedish steel.
And now we let the US control how we apply our own laws. Helping the RIAA and MPAA stop PirateBay. And I have good feeling that this will backfire horribly. And heads will roll in the Swedish government.
During the war they used an old slogan, “Den Svenska tigern”, The Swedish Tiger, but in reality it’s more like the Swedish Pussycat. I guess the threat, “If you are not with us, your against us” really worked…
I have spent half an hour trying out a new program called CoverScout from Equinux. And I have decided to buy it. It’s a program for handling all the cover art for your iTunes music. It keeps your covers in sync. You can choose to download and apply the artwork automatically if you like. You can search artwork from Amazon, Goole and iTunes Music Store. Very handy. The only thing I miss is the option to change the size of the artwork directly in the program. Sometimes I don’t want to have really high resolution artwork, and the option to downsize it would be great.
Update: I ordered the program, but you don’t receive the licence key directly. Appearantly it can take up to 24 hours. How stupid. Isn’t speed one of the points of being able to buy over the internet?
Yet another update: The licensing hard codes the serial number to one specific machine. this means that you can not install it on your stationary machine, and your portable. If I known that before I ordered, I wouldn’t have bought it. Just on principle.
