One of my long time dreams is to have a robot. A walking, talking robot.
Today I had a little talk with my daughter Mira, about cleaning up. I thought that it was time for her to clean up the mess in her room, and she thought that it was time for me to go f..k myself. Being just four years old, you have to add her words to that last sentence, but it all adds up to the same thing. One of the things that triggers this kind of discussions about cleaning the room is that she wants someone to help. It’s enough if someone is in the room doing nothing.
But today I found the solution to my problem. Let’s get someone that can help her tidy up. Enter RoboSapien, the programmable robot with hands that can lift stuff, and he can walk. He can also burp, but I don’t think this will affect my little daughter, she’s been sitting beside me at the table, so I’m certain she has heard that sound before. All I have to do is to program it to pick up something, and TaaDaa! Someone’s helping. And with this one, (I am a genious!) maybe I could get Mira interested in electronics, or at least robotics? That’s a future career for you.
With a little luck, all the talk about getting a cat will stop. If not, when googling around I found a Sega cat that would fit the bill.
Disclaimer: This is not a way for me to justify for my wife the purchase of yet another toy. It’s for the kids. Honestly!
