Sony Ericsson p900 to p910

I needed a new mobile phone so I bought a Sony Ericsson p900. I knew that they where about to release the p910 model, but I needed the phone right away. Some of the new things in p910 that I miss in the p900 is HTML email and the ability to use MemoryStick Duo pro cards. Sony Ericsson has said that it’s the hardware that limits the p900 to use larger than 256mb MemorySticks. Bullshit!

If you download the firmware from the p910 to the p900, the larger sticks work without a hitch. You also get HTML email. So why haven’t they released an upgrade for the p900? To force all the people that have the p900 to buy a new phone, that’s why. Then why not try to get people to upgrade on the fact that p910 has more memory, better screen and a keyboard? Would companies win brand loyalty by making the products better for people after they bought them? I think so. And the p900 has only been available for about a year, so it’s not like it’s an old dead product. Fortunally there is several companies here in Sweden that can perform the upgrade, notably Mumien, and GSMTeknik. I’ll keep you updated on the upgrade.

Great mobile phone, you can watch movies on it if you have a big enough memory stick
