If the new iPod Photo had an option to download pictures from digital camera memory (faster then the crap currently available) this could be handy. But no. This one feels like Apple just felt it was time to release something new. Showing pictures on a 222×176 pixel display or on a television feels like something that’s fun for about five minutes. Better battery life (15 hour) would be even greater if they didn’t use a color screen.
And the iPod special edition U2 version? No, I’ll wait for the all pink Liberace version. Or maybe the Bay City Rollers iPod. Shudder…
