Just for fun I tried to search for the string “Ron Jeremy ipod” that I have in one of my posts. Nothing on Google. But all other search engines found it. MSN Search, HotBot, AltaVista, Lycos and others. Even if I try to add obvious stuff like “Ron Jeremy ipod jacken” it can’t find shit. So why isn’t google indexing my site? If I check in my Apache log, the googlebots are there snorting it all up, but why don’t they release it into the bloodstream? Makes me wonder if it’s time to reevaluate my preferences for search engine. I have been a faithful Google user for years now, but I might switch. It could be something in my code on the site that the bots doesn’t like, but still, all the others swallow it fine.
Google hates me

Google, while very thorough at searching sites, also “helps” its readers by filtering potentially unsavoury links using its SafeSearch options. The reader chooses to set it on, off, or somewhere in between. That preference is then stored in a cookie (if they are allowed).
