Synergy

I just added a small utility to my arsenal of Mac OS X software. It’s called Synergy. Yeah, you probably already heard about it, but I’m a bit conservative when it comes to software. At night when surfing the net and reading blogs, I always listen to music with iTunes. I usually use Party Shuffle to get some variation, but sometimes something really bad pops up and I need to change to the next song. I used another utility to get a skip/pause button in my menu, but my friend Mats talked about Synergy and how great it is. And he was right. Easy to set up, and it downloads cover art over internet automatically and displays it in a transparant window when going from one song to the next. Nice. The price? €5. I’ve been buying a lot of software lately. All of them great software for a great price. Like ecto, LaunchBar and others. It’s nice to see all the great software getting written for Mac OS X. The try before you buy way of selling software is great. Today I wouldn’t consider buying a software without trying it out first. You don’t get fooled by flashy boxes and empty promises and the developers has to make great software to get your money.
