Irritating Apple Mail

Mail

One thing that bugs the hell out of me is the fact that Apple’s mail program changes my standard account. I have four different mail accounts, and when creating a new email message, it changes the sender account. I’ve tried to change the order of the accounts in preferences, but the only way i’ve managed to change it to the one I want is to disable the wrong account and then re-enable it again. Irritating.

Why not just add an option to choose which account to use as standard?

This rings a bell. One guy came to my office with an iMac and I could not get the damn thing to use the correct account by default. Just change the accounts to have the same outgoing mail server and the same sender’s name, etc.

I still have the problem that the return address could be the wrong one. I have a couple of accounts that I don’t want to use for regular mail.

Have you reported this to Apple? Got a later version maybe?

I’ll try to send a bug report to Apple. I’m using the latest version.

I found out why it changes the account seemingly random. It takes the selected email and uses the same account. Isn’t that stupid.
