Butcher Baby, they’re gonna put you away

Leathernun

I read William Gibsons blog today where he had a note about Genesis P Orridge. This got me to remember a 9″ vinyl album I used to have with the great Swedish band, The Leather Nuns featuring Genesis P Orridge. The sleeve must be one of the most offensive ones ever. There was one song called Ensam i natt (lonely tonight) that I really liked when I was a kid. This got me to think about another vinyl I had, a song called Butcher Baby with the Plasmatics. So I put both songs in my iPod and listened to them today in the car, and god damn what good music taste I had when I was young. Now, If I only could get hold of a copy of Kitchen And The Plastic Spoons great single.

Update:

After searching with Google, apparently there is some dj’s in Germany that plays Kitchen And The Plastic Spoons. The song I’m looking for is called Happy Funeral. I remember running around to all record stores in Stockholm trying to find the single when it was released in 1980. How the hell the germans found this record I’ll never know. Anyone got it? Please?

    Hello!

Yes, i own that single and most of the other stuff by kitchen & plastic spoons! But i would never let sell the single! Its very rare and sought after. But if you want i can make you a mp3 copy of that synthpunk classic. Cheers Andreas (from Germanyg)!

Hallo ! I read you’re looking for Kitchen and the plastick spoons first single and have been searching since 1980. I think that’s long enough. You can buy mine if you want. I use to be the drummer and I just recently got a extra copy. One funny thing is that you mention Jacob and link to C-M in your blog and I use to work with them about 15 ears ago with a band called Oven&Stove and they did a hell of a job. I havn´t seen them since then. Contact me if you´re intrested. MW
