My wife and I decided that instead of the typical Swedish Christmas dinner with ham, meatballs and pigs feet we would try to prepare a turkey instead. Neither of us have ever done that before so it felt like a challenge. I’m used to chicken so to get your hand on one of those mutthas felt like trying to prepare Bigbird. Their huge! Anyway, we used cous cous, sun dried tomatoes, onion and plums as filling. Being a McDonalds kind of guy I was a little surprised to find the hart, throat and the liver inside the turkey. But the heart tasted great raw on a sandwitch. Just kidding, after freaking the kids out it went in the dustbin. I guess that you could use it to make a great gravy or as stuffing or something but I’ll do that next year or whatever. The turkey came out okay, not dry at all which was my biggest fear. It could have used a bit more spices, but one has to be careful if you want the kids to eat as well.
This year my son broke the big secret that Santa Claus is in fact daddy. But because he’s a good sport he didn’t tell Mira about it. Unfortunately my wife overheard us talking about it, and she was heartbroken…
