iMic problem

January 7th, 2005 · 4 Comments

Prod Tiny Imic I’ve had an iMic for a long time. I bought it very close to the release of it, and you usually have to pay the price for being first adopter. In my case I managed to get the first version with the product id of 1056 With this one there is sound quality problems, and it does not work ok with mac os x 10.2 and newer. Haven’t been using it for a long time but could have some use for it now. So I sent an email just for fun to them describing my problem, that the sound quality was werry thinny, and that there was no bass. I got a reply within one hour by mail! New record. All they wanted was my address so they could send me an replacement unit. So I replied with my address info, and I now got an confirmation that I’ll get a new unit and that only has to destroy the old unit.

So a big thumbs up for Griffin Technologies and their support. I’ll continue to buy stuff from them.

The only thing left now is how do I destroy the old unit? I’m thinking explosion, flames or by gunshot. Please give me some good ideas and I’ll do it and put it up here.

Put the iMic on a stone, there are rumours that you have one close to where you live, and then drive over it with your car

Strap it around a lamp until it melts.

Hahaha! I don’t think my poor old car could handle the stone again. I DO have a 700watt readhead lamp laying around the apartment.
