I helped a friend of my wife to set up a wireless network for their PCs. I got everything to work, but holy mother of god, what a nightmare to do support on a Windows system. I was just glad that the machines run long enough to be able to install all the drivers without the machine crashing. The PC was full of spyware (and probably viruses) so when starting Internet Explorer, half a million pages opened automatically. And with all the toolbars installed, there was around 200 pixels left in the window to see the content.
It’s nice to see that my decision to do something else than supporting computers was right. I got totally jumpy just by working with the machines for 20 minutes. And Windows accelerated the horrible feeling.
And the main reason for them to not use Macs? The kids use MSN. It’s not the first time I hear that. So I have given up. No more evangelism to try to persuade people to use Macintosh.

It’s like poison, even drugs. When people get all messed up, you still feel obliged to help them.
I saw a person almost crying yesterday because his Windows-powered machine was a complete mess and he kept getting disconnected (viruses), soon to pay fines.
