I wrote about this earlier on the power shift of information because of blogging. In a Slashdot posting they write about an Forbes Magazine article crying foul about bashing on blogs. How people attack corporations on their blogs. Companies like Microsoft, Kryptonite etc.
It’s pretty funny actually. In a world where corporations/money has learned all the tricks to control media, here’s this entity that they can’t control. Take Kryptonite company as an example. They manufacture bike locks. They are a bit more expensive than other locks, but their sales pitch is that they are safer. Until someone realized that you could open their $50 lock with a Bic pen. In the pre-blog world, people wouldn’t know (except for a bike thief) but now anyone can find that information. So this is bad? For Kryptonite it is.
I tried to do a search on Google for Kryptonite. The third entry is about how easy it is to crack their locks.
