DIY speakers

February 17th, 2007 · 1 Comment

I want to have a couple of speakers in the beadroom, so I started to search the net. I found a very intresting DYI speaker project here (Swedish). So I ordered the speakers and can’t wait to get them. My skills in working with wood is very limited, but I may get some help from one of my friends, who is an expert wood carpenter.

The build is based on a German project called Lancetta (PDF warning) but with some modifications. Very cool using a small 3″ driver. I’ll try to post more info when I get started.

    Hi Jacken -

Interesting site. I’ve been here before but got to spend a bit more time today.

Don’t see an e-mail addy so I’ll ask here.

Been working on a real problem room for near a year. This Lancetta seems like it would solve a major problem for me. Did you get around to building it? Despite Foreign sites plans and photos appear easy enough to follow, understanding their XO another story and by appearance questions regard why they built as extensive an XO as they did considering that particular driver. Seems to me a couple filters would do the trick.
