List of planned addition of new functions

Hi, Al!l

Here's a list of new features and bug fixes I have planned for the future. unfortunately for JackenIAX, I just got a new VERY demanding job wich means that i don't have enough time to do progamming on my hobby projects. But I will make time for a couple of small fixes in the near feature. And here's a list of some of them. Please add other that you feel needs to be on it.

  • When a bluetooth microphone gets disconnected, JackenIAX continues to operate without sound. I need to change the program so that the default microphone (if available) be used instead. Thanks to Ben Clang for that one.
  • Make new preference setting for how many numbers local extensions is. This is for not adding dialout number before them. Thanks to Matthew Barr.
  • Make the changes of the number from Address Book when double click dialing an option. Also improve algorith that determines when to do alterations.
  • Problems with standard audio settings on a Intel MacBook pro. I'll try this out when I get mine.
  • Multiple account. Often asked for feature. Not a quick hack to add unfortunally, but I can see the benefits. Will try this later on.
  • Activate the Hold button again.

Great work!

JackenIAX is really great. I have revisited it over the months and it keeps getting better.

-I would reiterate the multiple account request. That is a deal breaker for me, unfortunately.

-I like the interface. It is fairly clean and simple, but further simplification would be nice. How about a toggle triangle for the meters below or a drawer? How about another drawer for BLF extension monitoring?

-A menubar widget would be great for when a call comes in and you want to 'ignore, answer, transfer, etc.'

-How about a bezel for incoming calls? I use to have the SonyEricson cell phone with blue tooth. The caller's info, based on what the address book had, would show up including picture.

Thanks again. Great product.

Your absolutly right

I'm thinking of moving the active lines to a drawer that only is visible when calls are in progress. I will use Growl to notify when a new call is coming in. Then you can just click on the message to answer the phone.

Two more JackenIAX suggestions

Once again, my compliments to Jacken for making my favorite OS X softphone.

After some usage, I've found two things which would be very useful to me (in addition to the little bluetooth thing):

1) A mute button
2) The ability to dial non-digit numbers and contexts. For example, IAX supports labelled dialling like "user@context". JackenIAX would not accept that input directly so I tried adding it as an address book entry. When I attempted to dial that entry from JackenIAX, it did dial, but with an apparently empty number.

Any chance you're willing to open source this project, or at least open it up to some limited number of people who would be willing to contribute?

"Make new preference setting

"Make new preference setting for how many numbers local extensions is. This is for not adding dialout number before them. Thanks to Matthew Barr."

I would be happy with JackenIAX just not altering standard dialing, but ONLY altering when you dial from the address book... (quick fix that would help me anyway :-)

I've fixed this in my latest release.

Had the same problem, have set up VoIP at my new work, so I needed this functionallty.

Add BLF

It's time to add BLF so I know when my friends are ready to talk while playing World of Warcraft.
