Using Marsedit 3

I’ve been dabbling around with different blog editors for Mac now for a while, trying to find one that suits my needs. I usually try to do most of my blogging on my iPad, but when writing on my Mac I’ve used Byword in combination with Marked2 to do the initial texts written in Markdown.

Image Compression JPEG Tools for Web

There are several JPEG image compression tools available that takes a jpeg file and reduces the size of the photo without altering the quality. But which one works best for posting images on a website? I was curious, so I took the tools I usually use and put them through the compress photo function. All applications tested claims not to lower the quality of the image. I’m concentrating on testing jpeg files here, and do a followup article later with results for optimizing PNG files.

Blog Post Directly from iOS Safari to Poster App Using Pythonista Script

I want to be able to share interesting web pages on my Wordpress blog using iOS directly from Safari using a bookmark and a Pythonista Python script. They have managed to get people to sign up their mail at GMail, letting Google index all their emails. And now with Google Analytics we are going to give them every detail on how we surf? So George Orwell was wrong, you don’t need an totalitarian society to have full control of peoples life’s. We are in-fact giving them that for free. We write our thoughts and events, and then hands the information over to a company for them to go trough and index and generate patterns. And as long as the company is “not evil” it’s apparently ok. Makes me feel a bit uncomfortable.

This is how it looks

I saw a bump in CPU usage on my server and had to check it out (yes, I have no life) And this is how it looks when you get posted on MacSurfer
