My friend Martin once gave me a special edition of Apples Newton. It was transparent so you could see all the internal stuff. Very cool. I managed to drop it, unfortunately, so I got to see all the internals first hand :( Wish I still had it. To this day I have still not seen any PDA with the same features that the Newton had. For one thing, how come they still don’t have an auto correct feature in the drawing programs? If you drew a circle on the Newton, it automatically corrected it to make it into a real circle. No bitmapped image but vectorized. Perfect for people like me who couldn’t draw a straight line at gunpoint. ...

So after reading all the crap, I write here, you probably wondering who this guy is? No? You insensitive clod! Well, here I go anyway. I’m a 38-year-old computer consultant who loves technology. So you Luddites, read something else. My main passion is computers, but I have occasional attacks of other interests as well. One thing that always interested me is cars. 12 years ago I decided to build a car. I bought an old beat up Chevy Nova 75. It’s the kind of car you always see on race day. Usually, the one at the receiving end of death-defying jumps with junk cars. Anyway, a sleeper car can never lose. I disassembled the car entirely with the help of my friend “Raggar”-Johan and rebuilt everything. Here is a picture of the car. ...

So this is my first try at weblogging. I’m probably going to get bored after about three days, but I will give it a try. This must be the ultimate in narcissistic acts one can do. That’s why I think this will fit me like a glove. Finally made some changes to my homepage for my company. Last time I did any significant changes was about three years ago. My next project will be to build a new WiFi access point with a board from Soekris. I’ll try to create my antenna from an aluminum can. I’m thinking of using a small Linux distribution called Pebble. It will fit on a 128mb CF card. All this for making a free access point. It will use throttling to limit bandwidth for non paying people. I think this is the way of the future. In Stockholm, there is a lot of access hot spots, but it´s usually because people haven’t configured their Wifi gear correctly;-) There are some commercial hotspots, but paying without first being able to try it out is the wrong way of doing it. ...
