Hello! Anyone home? To combat the copying of songs on the internet the best
way is to lower prices. But instead Sony tries to make yet another copy
protection. Why not invent something that the customer actually wants instead?
Well, like the Walkman you did invent twenty years ago. Why not try to excel
with great products that benefit the consumer and make them want to buy them?
Instead the trend is to try to limit the publics choice, to make products worse
just so it does not compete with something in their more expensive line (Sony
VX-2000 sound quality anyone?). I used to be very impressed with Sonys
equipment, but instead of thinking of making the best hardware, they concentrate
on making money. And that works for a while. This is, I think yet another reason
not to do mergers with a lot of different companies and make one big one. The
reasons for doing stuff gets clouded. Should Sony Hi-Fi try to make shitty
products with DRM so that no one can copy Sony Music? So why do I go spastic
about Sony? Because it’s a company that used to release stuff I really liked.
Trinitron, Walkman (no, not Vaio, it comes with a defective operating system)
and loads of other stuff. So to rectify all this here is:Jackens
business plan fo sony:
1. Try making the best product you can, then
try to make it affordable.
2. sell it.
