Came across this little tidbit. Editorial: Can You Get Serious Work Done on a Mac? – OSNews.com. Stuff like this really cracks me up. So here you have someone trying to see if he can use a mac instead of the Windows pc he’s using at work. He can’t get Microsoft Entourage to connect to Microsoft Exchange. He can’t connect to a Microsoft windows server. He can’t open old documents done in Microsoft PowerPoint because of incompatible images.
Conclution? Apple is not for serious work. Ever being f…ed over without even knowing it? Do you see a clue here? (hint: I have put it in bold letters for you slow people out there) It’s called lock-in. You keep all the information of formats secret so competing companies can’t get their stuff to work with yours. If you have a market dominance it’s even better. Then you can call your formats standard.
